“I’ve experienced it so many times and now I am starting to miss it.”
You told me as I asked you if you had been in an earthquake. Back in 2008, a massive earthquake happened in your hometown. You slept in a car for a month after it happened. I asked you why you did that and you said,
“Once a big earthquake happens, there will be a lot of smaller ones that will come along in the next few years. So the whole place was shaking a lot during the next few months and it is very dangerous to sleep in a building.”
I could only listen. All I thought about was how comfortable my life was. You would only understand if you’d been through it.
